The lovely Baška is in many ways the most special place on the island of Krk. Its importance for Croatian history is remarkable, since it is the place where the oldest stone inscription in Croatian letter was found, the famous Baška tablet. The people of Baška take special care of their heritage, so a very typical type of dry walls is still preserved, and apart from Baška, can only be foun in Wales and on Island. In case the history is not your thing, you will be delighted to hear that Baška is surrounded with many beautiful pebble beaches, adjusted for everyone. The tourism of the island Krk started right here, since the oldest tourist resort was built precisely in Baška in 1908.

After you have finished exploring the island and its history, it is time to relax and head to the beach. Croatian sea is worldwide known as one of the cleanest ones, and this is where you will see why.
